Discipline Plan
 
Apollo Middle School is committed to providing our students with a safe academic environment. Discipinary action will be taken on any student who poses a threat to student learning. Below are some key discipline policies for school. Click here to view the full Code of Conduct.

Disruption of School
A student will not use violence, force, noise, coercion, threat, intimidation, fear,
passive resistance, or any other conduct to cause the disruption, interference or
obstruction of any school purpose. Neither will a student engage in such conduct
nor will a student help to cause others to engage in such conduct which causes,
or which can reasonably be foreseen to cause an unsafe environment, disruption,
interference or obstruction of any school purpose. Reckless endangerment is
defined as creating a substantial risk of death or serious injury to another person.

Damage, Vandalism or Theft of Property
A student will not cause or attempt to cause damage to property or steal or attempt
to steal property. A student will not conceal or attempt to conceal stolen property.

Student Cell Phone Policy
A student may possess a cellular telephone, on school property, at after school
activities and at school-related functions, provided that during school hours and on
a school bus the cell phone remains off, not on vibrate, and is concealed.

Gang and Gang-Related Activity
A student will not participate in a gang or gang-related activity. Gang-related activity
includes, but is not limited to: the display or possession of gang symbols or
paraphernalia, gang recruitment, gang initiation, gang fighting, and gang intimidation.

Inappropriate Use of Internet/Electronic Devices
A student may not use the internet, a cell phone or other electronic device, either
on or off campus, in a way that is potentially or actually disruptive to the school
environment, its educational purpose, or constitutes a threat to the health, safety,
or welfare of a student or students and/or school personnel.
